OWIN6G Project Meeting in Athens – March 2026

The OWIN6G consortium gathered at Harokopio University in Athens, Greece, on 12–13 March 2026 for a two-day project meeting hosted by the Department of Informatics and Telematics.

The meeting brought together doctoral candidates, supervisors, and project partners from across Europe to review research progress, exchange ideas, and coordinate the next stages of the OWIN6G project.

Research Progress and Collaboration

All ten doctoral candidates presented updates on their ongoing research, followed by discussions with supervisors and consortium members. The presentations covered different aspects of optical and wireless sensor networks for future 6G applications.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss technical challenges, planned experiments, research collaborations, and secondments between partner institutions.

Looking Ahead

The consortium also reviewed upcoming project activities, scientific deliverables, and preparations for future events. Beyond the technical discussions, the meeting highlighted the importance of international collaboration and knowledge exchange within the OWIN6G doctoral network.

Special thanks go to Dr Thomas Kamalakis, Alexandros Aslanidis, and the team at Harokopio University for hosting and organising the meeting.
